» Disneyland Vacation: Disneyland Park is a theme park at the Dineyland Resort in Anaheim, California, USA.
It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company.
Walt Disney's vision for his first theme park was inspired by his children: "Well, it came about when my daughters were very young and Saturday was always Daddy's day with the two daughters. I'd take them to the merry-go-round and as [I sat there], I felt that there should be some kind of an amusement enterprise built where the parents and the children could have fun together. So that's how Disneyland started."
 Disneyland was permitted to have its award on private Disney-owned property, as a compromise to a Los Angeles city ordinance preventing commercial names from appearing on the famed public sidewalk.
According to Disenyland representatives, a $15,000 fee was paid for the Award of Excellence. This is the same amount required to sponsor a nominee for a star on the Walk of Fame.
Diseny land celebrates its 50th anniversary on July 17, with celebrations set for the Anaheim park on Sunday.
Make sure that you carry a backpack with you into the park. This pack will serve you well during the day. You should pack in water, and drinks in amounts that are comfortable to carry. This will save you dearly during the day. The cost of drinks and supplies inside the park walls is extravagant.

Descending from the foothills, Highway 20 enters the valley of many rivers: Yuba, Feather, Sacramento. These waterways are the reason this place is so fertile, why the area is full of leafy walnut and fruit orchards, rice fields, and rippling fields of hay.
Highway 20 lingers for about 75 miles in the Sacramento Valley, passing the twin cities of Marysville and Yuba City. To appreciate them, you need to get off the highway. Once away from this busy section of Highway 20 (where it merges briefly with State 70), you'll find that Marysville has a stately, old-fashioned downtown and gorgeously ornate civic buildings and houses.
